Paintballs are plastic balls which contain various
colours of liquid marking paint for playing Paintball. Paintball
bursts on impact leaving only a sting and a colour mark on the
opponent's body when hit. In comparison the paintballs are much
softer than PepperAmmo™.
PepperAmmo in turn contains a very fine dust-like powder containing
Capsaicin II (chilli-pepper).
PepperAmmo™ projectiles are hard and brittle.
They burst on impact with enough kinetic force to painfully get
the suspect's attention, unleashing a cloud of Capsaicin powder
into the face (eyes, nose and lungs) of the aggressor.
By using the Peppergun and PepperAmmo you don't have to hit your
target to subdue him. By shooting in his approx vicinity, he will
be overwhelmed with the content, forming a cloud of pepper powder.
Even when running away, you could shoot into a wall or object
in front of him, leaving him running into a barely visible cloud
of pepper.
PepperAmmo™ is slightly larger than the majority
of paintballs on the market. This would mean that it could be
used in some ordinary paintball markers with slight modifications.
PepperAmmo™ training rounds are also available.
These rounds contain a totally harmless white powder to illustrate
to the consumer the effect that PepperAmmo will have without the
painful effect of the “real thing”.
